Welding robot automation in India: how to choose payload, reach and tooling, safety, cycle time and used welding robots for sale. robotic welding, arc
Frequently asked questions
What payload does a welding robot need?
Torch, cable and wire feeder weigh only a few kilograms, so arc welding robots are usually 6–12 kg payload with 1.4–2 m reach; the reach to every seam matters more than payload.
Why do welding robots need positioners?
A positioner turns the part so the robot welds flat or horizontal, which gives the best bead and fewest defects, and lets one side be loaded while the other is welded.
What is seam tracking?
Touch sensing finds where the joint really is and through-arc or laser seam tracking follows it during welding, compensating for part variation and heat distortion.
